The setting
Where the app is already on the phone, opening it beats opening a browser.
The point of this scenario is that only the surface differs. If the app and the browser hung off different systems, you would end up operating two of everything.
What gets assembled
The iOS and Android apps connect to the same voice engine as the browser. A different surface does not mean a different call path.
Call records and transcripts follow the same flow, so on the operations side a call is reviewed in one place — the operator console — regardless of where it started.
Where it stands
Running today
Both the mobile and browser call paths run today.
Still in development
Some of the care-facing surfaces inside the app are UI-complete with backend integration in progress.
Scoped during the deployment
Which surface opens first, and how the app is distributed, is scoped with you deployment by deployment.
The iOS and Android apps reach the same voice engine as the browser, and a call record lands in one place regardless of which surface started it.
